Full arch treatment / implant supported prosthesis

WARNING – This section contains surgical per-op pictures.

At Implant Docs, we provide a variety of treatment to restore the full arch. Depending on the patient goals, we provide treatment s for over dentures, morse connexion or hybrid prosthesis.

Overdentures / LOCATORS®

Pros:

♦ Stable prosthesis

♦ Easy maintenance

♦ Less expensive

Cons:

♦ Can rock back and forth

♦ Long flanges are necessary

♦ Rests on gums therefore weaker bite

The patient’s function and aesthetic were restored using 5 implants to anchor the removable prosthesis.

This case illustrated an example of an Overdenture.

The lower denture is mostly held in place with gravity. Simply using 2 implants to anchor the removable prosthesis is a minimally invasive approach to give the lower denture more retention.
